THE CRAFTSMANSHIP BEHIND HOUSE OF AURIC

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP BEHIND HOUSE OF AURIC

The forge where luxury is born and craftsmanship reigns, House of Auric is a dedicated terminal for all thing’s jewellery, shaping and reworking raw elements to bring polished pieces of art to life. The process begins in Italy, Europe or Sydney for Vermeil or Gold respectively, harnessing fire to temper the metal, laser etching for logo inscribing and hand craftsmanship to hone and refine the piece, all before arriving with a card of authenticity, polish cloth and keepsake jewellery box.

Every great thing starts somewhere, the same goes for House of Auric. To gain further insight into the shaping process Culture Kings took a passenger seat to the whole thing at the Sydney HOA production location, capturing every moment on camera for posterity. Delve a little further to see just how such formidable 10K gold jewellery is made, and why.

Whence cometh fire, melting down gold.

All House of Auric gold starts in a solid gold state, pictured above, in order to truly shape the element into the finest jewellery. Each craftsman spends up to 6 hours moulding, firing and reshaping the gold for every Cuban link chain, beginning with the initial melting down of the raw materials.

After this, the melted gold is cooled enough to start re-solidifying, before being straightened mechanically then wound manually. This crucial step begins shaping the jewellery into desired patterns or styles, with full control given to the crafter.

Straightening above, shaping below.

From here, it's all a matter of finesse. The links are strengthened, edges refined and final compositions moulded into place before being set over flame, solidifying the gold into its final position.

The chain is then smoothed down to the desired state, imperfections buffed out and links polished, before the final touches are added.

Check out the final touches below, where the House of Auric emblem is lasered into the gold, links are finalised and the complete piece takes shape.

After the clasps are connected, the entire chain is polished to reveal the final product beneath.
