Meek Mill Raps About Colin Kaepernick?!

Meek Mill Raps About Colin Kaepernick?!

Meek Mill is dropping an album any day now and has given Page Six a preview of some of the music we can expect, which includes a track where he raps about NFL player Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick has made headlines recently after being appointed as the face of Nike's 30th-anniversary of the 'Just Do It' campaign. The former NFL star is fighting a collusion case as the league don't want him to play after he knelt during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racism.

On the song, Meek reportedly spits:

“They won’t lynch him by hanging from a tree/They lynch his bank account,” Meek reportedly raps on the unreleased song, which also includes the lyrics “They told Kap to stand up if you want to play for a team/And most of his teammates said the same thing,” and “Back in the ’30s you would be killed if you kneeled/They won’t kill you now, they just take you out of the deal.”

Meek and Kaepernick share similar views on the current American situation, with the pair being in communication while Meek was locked up in jail until recently.

We have no word on exactly when the album and Kaepernick track will drop, as Meek said: "I’m not actually giving out a release date, it’s a surprise album." Keep it on lock.
