Carmelo Anthony Stays With Oklahoma For $27.9 Million

NBA star Carmelo Anthony has not terminated his option on the final year of his contract to join the 2018 free-agent class and has chosen instead to stay with Oklahoma City Thunder to earn $27.9 million USD for the 2018/2019 season. Anthony is now set to complete his $120 million USD, five-year contract with the New York Knicks.

The Thunder may well have one of the largest payrolls ever if they also resign Paul George when free agency opens. George has until Friday to opt out of the $20.2 million he is owed in the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent.
