Adidas - From Old-school to New-school!

Adidas - From Old-school to New-school!

From the early struggling years, through to the present where the brand now stands as one of three biggest in sports and footwear, adidas has made it through the decades and stands as a force to be reckoned with. From humble beginnings in a washroom, this brand has seen it all. Looking ahead to the future, always remembering where it came from, this brand continues to reach new heights.

Always in competition with the likes of Nike and - in earlier years - Puma, adidas have lasted and become a favourite for celebrities worldwide. Steven Speilberg famously wore his favourite 3-Stripes while filming the cult classic "Jaws." Bob Marley regularly played soccer in his spare time in many different adidas silhouettes. John Lennon was ahead of the fashion trend as he wore his adidas while recording in the 70's, and who could forget Run DMC as they became one of the first music groups to be signed by a major sporting company in adidas.

Now a real powerhouse in a game where the lines are blurred between streetwear and high-fashion, adidas continues to evolve and adapt. Born in the past and now firmly planted with modern day celebrities, Kanye West is possibly the biggest driving force behind this brand. Having worked with Nike, Louis Vuitton, and even the adidas-owned Reebok previously, Kanye West is now with adidas and designing some of the most sought after sneakers in the world. Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid are regularly caught in numerous different pairs of their favourite adidas. Even Hip-Hop artist like G-Eazy and Wiz Khalifa are big time 3-Stripe ambassadors.

From the past to present, adidas are the brand to be wearing. Check out some of the previously mentioned celebrities wearing some classic silhouettes and be sure to pick up a few new pairs right here at Culture Kings In-Store and Online.
