2018 Creative Arts Emmy Winners

2018 Creative Arts Emmy Winners

It's that time of year when we award the Creative Arts Emmy Nominees for their achievements in television. Although the main, Primetime Emmy Awards are being held on September 17th,  the Creative Arts Emmys are no less important.

Notable mentions include Kat Williams won his category for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in Gambino's 'Atlanta' as Glover's uncle, and Tiffany Haddish won for her SNL episode, where she made history by being the first black, female stand-up comedian to guest host. Ron Cephas Jones from 'This Is Us' and Samira Wiley from 'The Handmaid's Tale' both cleaned up their categories, meaning this year is a momentous one for the African-American community.

After these awards, John Legend, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice all achieved 'EGOT' status for their work on 'Jesus Christ Superstar', meaning they have won Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tonys.
